About Hephzibah, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Richmond County, Hephzibah is Georgia city with a population of just over 4,000 residents. It is found within the August Metro Area. This community was originally called Brothersville, but the name was changed in 1870 for the local Hephzibah Baptist Church. While the economy had declined slowly over time, it has started to bounce back beginning in 2010, at which time an IGA grocery store and CrossFit gym opened in the community.

Hephzibah is a small city, but there are a few notable attractions located in this community. Outdoor recreation is especially popular in Hephzibah, with the Diamond Lakes Recreation Center, Blythe Recreation Center, and Jessie Carroll Park and Recreation Center all being located here. There are also several shopping destinations, including Bi-Lo, the Modern Age Tobacco Shop, and the Hephzibah Pharmacy.  Local restaurants are also available in this community, including China Wok and Zack’s Wings and Seafood.

Hephzibah residents will utilize home heating and cooling systems at various points of the year, as temperatures vary with the seasons. During the summer, temperatures are hot and extremely humid, and high temps in the mid-90s are common. The solution to staying comfortable during these months is to invest in an energy efficient central air conditioning unit, and for residents that have an existing system in place, annual checkups are recommended to ensure optimal functioning.

The community will get a break from the heat as the summer fades to autumn and then winter, but temperatures stay comfortable throughout the season. High temps in the upper-50s or even warmer are common during the winter, but that doesn’t mean that the area is immune to cold fronts. Overnight lows will approach the freezing point, so a heat pump is likely a good option to have in place so that interior temperatures stay warm during these cooler months.
